Where It All Began
In the 1950s, founder John Dauffenbach developed equipment to battle local aquatic weed problems. In 1964, John and his brother Doug incorporated D&D Products and expanded that early vision throughout the world.
Prototype in the '60s
Aquarius Systems has evolved from equipment proven tried and true. Founder John Dauffenbach devoted years of his life to engineering and developing machines to keep lakes and waterways clean and clear of invasive aquatic species.
Evolution Equals Success in the '70s & '80s
The company moved forward and led the surface water management industry through the 1980s by continuing efforts in developing new technology. They worked to build a strong team of engineers, fabricators, and a network of water conservation experts to create equipment the world had never seen.
New Generation & New Horizons
The second generation took the reigns of the company in the 1990s. Together with a talented team, the company earned many accolades including former Wisconsin Governor Scott McCallum’s Corporate Civic Award; the Wisconsin Association of Lakes’ Outstanding Lake Stewardship Award; the North American Lake Management Society’s Outstanding Corporation Award; and the Aquatic Plant Management Society’s Excellence Award.
Taking the World by Storm
Into the early 2000s, Aquarius Systems became recognized throughout the world for their impact on water conservation. National Geographic featured an Aquarius Systems water management project on Lake Victoria in Kenya. Aquarius Systems expanded its reach into almost every major continent throughout the world.

We use the latest innovations in marine technology to achieve the ultimate in heavy-duty design. All manufacturing takes place in our Wisconsin factory that was specially designed for the fabrication of water management equipment.
Our quality and safety standards are guided by ISO and CE directives. The in-house engineering department uses the latest 3D solid modeling software to provide us complete design control on product development.
