Learn how to properly and safely operate Aquarius Equipment and products.
Equipment safety cannot be overemphasized. It's extremely important to understand the rules of the water and operate your equipment in a safe manner. You must read the complete safety guidelines in your Aquarius Systems operations manual before attempting to operate your new equipment. Please utilize the provided resources below. Thank you for contributing to a safer environment.
We place a great deal of emphasis on the safety, quality, and durability of our equipment. Over the last 60 years, we have developed and tested many different designs and ideas. Through extensive experience, we have learned which components work well and which do not. Most importantly, we have always believed that safety is not an option.
The machines we offer today are the safest, most reliable machines available on the market. Browse through the details below to see the distinctive safety and quality features that set our equipment apart.
Paddle wheels are an integral part of the weed harvester and are supplied with guarding. Paddle wheels are installed with our exclusive 5:8 Sure-Mount system which uses a total of 13 bolts to securely mount the paddle wheel, rather than relying on only one nut to attach it.
All hydraulic motor chain drive assemblies are guarded to prevent accidental entanglement.
Hydraulic oil averages 140° – 160° F (60° - 71° C) during normal operation. For this reason, all hydraulic hoses, fittings, and valves at the operator console are completely enclosed to protect the operator in the event of a failure.
Safety railings protect the operator and passengers. OSHA compliant ladders provide safe access on port & starboard sides of the operator platform.
Based on the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) Standards, our barge style hulls are the strongest design available in the industry. Reinforced frames throughout the barge interior provide superior strength in the longitudinal, transverse, and vertical directions. Airtight sealed bulkheads serve to contain water to a single compartment in the unlikely event of a leak.
Heavy-duty, high torque hydraulic motors and precision-machined gear reducers drive the paddle wheels. The two-stage system provides outstanding, trouble-free performance.
Rubber hydraulic hose is used only where flexibility is required, such as at conveyor pivot points. We use only high-quality double braided rubber hose and matching fittings. Trained technicians do all hose fitting and crimping.
Aluminum cabins are available on most models for the comfort and safety of the operator. The cabs come equipped with one or two doors, tinted safety glass, a windshield wiper, and electric fan. For climate control, heating and/or air conditioning can also be added.
We offer a choice between split operator and engine platforms, or a single conjoined operator/engine platform.
Keeping damage to a minimum, the Aquarius Systems Exclusive Dual Impact Protection provides twice the protection against underwater obstacles.
Stainless steel tubing is used to run all hydraulic lines, except where flexibility is required. Stainless tubing is a high-quality feature that will last the life of the equipment and is not subject to deterioration when exposed to the elements. The stainless tubing is also much neater in appearance and makes tracing hydraulic lines much easier.
For clients with dockside fueling stations, we offer aluminum or stainless steel fuel tanks available in capacities from 15 to 50 gallons (55 to 190 liters). If fuel must be brought in from another location, we supply 6 gallon (22 liters) portable fuel tanks.
The aquatic weed harvesters are available with hydraulically retractable paddle wheels. This option is especially popular for lake managers who must frequently relocate the equipment from one lake to another.
